FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Who organises the Triple E Awards?

The Awards are organised by the Accreditation Council for Entrepreneurial and Engaged Universities (ACEEU). Headquartered in Muenster, Germany, ACEEU is the premier provider of quality assurance for entrepreneurship and engagement in higher education. Please visit: www.aceeu.org for more information.

Q: Which organisations are eligible?

Eligible are all Higher Education Institutions as well as related institutions (for example, an external TTO or an incubator that is clearly related to a university; or a network of universities).

Please check out of "Regions" page, which specifies the eligible countries and to which region a country belongs.

Q: Can any financial support be provided for travel and accommodation?

Unfortunately, the organisers are not able to provide any financial support for travel and accommodation.

Q: How do I submit an entry?

Please register at the application page. After your registration, you will receive via email your individual login details for our submission portal where you can hand in entries for all award categories. You can find the templates for your submission in the "Categories Section". Please note that each region has its own section:

The Americas
Europe
Africa
Asia-Pacific

The Categories page showcase both the regional awards (competition only in the region) as well as the global awards (competition worldwide).

Q: Can I nominate myself for an individual award (e.g. Entrepreneurial Leader of the Year, or Entrepreneurship Educator of the Year)?

Yes, you can nominate yourself, or be nominated by someone else. In the evaluation this does not make any difference. If you nominate someone else, please make sure that the nominated person agrees to the nomination and would be able to join the Ceremony in Barcelona. It would be sad for the nominee to miss the event (should this still happen, someone would have to join instead of the nominee).

Q: Can I submit multiple entries?

You can certainly submit multiple entries, even for one award category in case the submissions are clearly distinct from each other. Share the Awards with your colleagues to encourage participation across the institution.

Q: When is the deadline for submission?

The deadline for this year's submission is February 6, 2023 (extended deadline).

Q: What are the evaluation criteria?

Each award category has its own evaluation criteria. You can find these criteria on the Award Categories pages.

Q: When will the shortlisted entries be published?

The publication date of the shortlisted entries is expected to be February 27, 2023.

Q: When and where does the award ceremony takes place?

The award ceremony will take place from June 26-29, 2023 in Barcelona, Spain. The Award Ceremony will coincide with the 2023 ACEEU Forum and the 2023 Triple Helix Conference, providing a wide range or networking, sharing and learning opportunities with leaders from all over the world.

Q: Are there any costs attached to the Awards?

There are no costs attached to submitting an entry to the Awards. However, finalists are required to attend the Awards Ceremony in Barcelona, Spain and purchase an event ticket to the ACEEU Stakeholders Forum and the Triple Helix Conference to which the Awards are attached.

The early bird fee for the 4-day event is €575.

Q: Who can attend the award ceremony?

The Award Ceremony in Barcelona can be attended by all participants of the 2023 ACEEU Stakeholders Forum and the Triple Helix Conference (fees apply).
